Walgreen's has a system called Register Rewards (RR). These are coupons that print out after you have purchased an item. In the Walgreen's ad it will tell you what products have a RR. For instance today I purchased:
Complete contact solution for $8
A RR for $8 printed out, so essentially it was free.
The scenario gets sweet when you then use that RR coupon to purchase another item that has a RR as well. Then I purchased:
3 Dove Body washes totaling $ 13.00
1 set of 12 pencils for .09 (a filler item, Walgreen's policy is that you must have as many items as coupons and the RR they consider a coupon)
I then gave the cashier 3 coupons for $1 off any Dove Body wash
Then I gave her my RR for $8
This took my total down to $2.00
I paid and then got a RR for $3 for buying the Dove promo.
So my out of pocket was $10.00 and I still have $3 to use to start my next RR set.
This was an okay deal at Walgreen's but my personal "stock-up" price for body wash is .50, these deals come around all the time.
